About Us
The Komoto Family Foundation was founded in 2014 by Brian and Mary Komoto, who wanted to pave a way to support patients with high out-of-pocket costs for their prescription medications. From this vision, the Affordable Medications Program was born.
Since then, our mission has expanded to promote wellness and health equity in partnership with under-resourced communities, with a focus on improving access to pharmacist-provided healthcare services.
Our Team
Executive Director
Danielle Colayco, PharmD, MS (she/her)
Dr. Colayco shapes the Foundation's strategy and overall direction. She leads the research initiatives and program development.
CFO
Mary Komoto (she/her)
As co-founder of the Foundation, Mary Komoto oversees the finance and accounting functions and keeps records of all relevant documents.
Communty Program Coordinator
Sandra Hernández (she/her)
Sandra Hernández oversees the Affordable Medications Program and referrals for social support. She also provides health equity training for healthcare and research organizations.
Community Program Associate
Amy Flores (she/her)
Amy Flores administers the daily operations of the Affordable Medications Program, including patient enrollment, follow-up, and assessment of social needs.
Community Outreach Liaison
Consuelo Robles (she/her)
Consuelo Robles administers the Affordable Medications Program, makes referrals for social determinants of health, and participates in community outreach events.
